Black Business Month, Farmer’s Markets, Elvis Week & more: August events for your agency’s social media
There’s still a lot of summer left and many seasonal activities throughout New England in August, from clam fests and farmers’ markets to seasonal sports. There are many fun national events, too, like International Beer Day, Lighthouse Day and Elvis Week. August is also Black Business Month, a good time to reach out to your black business insureds.
You can offer reminders to your personal lines clients for vacation safety, driving safety and outdoor sports safety, barbecue safety, swimming pool safety, tick and flea prevention and burglar-proofing your home while away. Weather-wise, it’s a big month for severe electrical storms and the Atlantic hurricane season runs through November 30th.
And as the month progresses, people’s thoughts move away from vacations and turn to Back to School and Back to Business. The National Safety Council Offers several Back To School Month tools that your customers may find useful, from videos to social media posts on topics like transportation safety, bullying prevention and playground safety.
We offer a few links and suggestions for August social media communications to get you started.
