Renaissance Group companies are notably and purposely bound by a single clear corporate culture. Our culture transcends the simple definition of who we are. It encompasses our traditions, our values, our style and our collective purpose as individuals drawn together in a common cause. The delivery of value and excellence to our agents, brokers and clients is our primary focus while advancement of corporate and personal stability and success is achieved through steadfast support and nurturing of the ideals and people who comprise and shape our culture.
Six basic core principles and practices form the foundation of Renaissance Group's corporate culture. These are:
- Clarity of purpose - we believe that a clear understanding of both corporate and individual visions and goals is fundamental to our success. Imparting such focus is achieved by clearly defining individual roles and responsibilities and their relationship and contributions to successfully realizing our corporate goals and objectives.
- Teamwork - our innovative and creative environment is based on a team approach to management. Our players recognize winning teams do not rest on their laurels. They learn from their losses and continue to strive for excellence in each new challenge or venture. Through their camaraderie and single sense of purpose they enjoy freedom of expression spanning emotions of humor and friendly bantering to intense brainstorming, critical thinking and problem solving. Our functional teams are composed of internal staff and/or agent and insurance carrier representatives to further reinforce our partnerships for mutual success. While our formalized teams are primarily internal to our organizations, Renaissance Group considers its partner agencies and brokers as members of our corporate team.
- Integrity - honesty, mutual respect, and the highest ethical standards are cornerstones in all our internal and external dealings. Healthy exchanges of ideas and positions are always encouraged coupled with deference for opposing views, styles, mannerisms and varying levels of knowledge and experience. We value empathy, trust and compassion rule over indifference and insensitivity.
- Commitment - we believe commitment is a two-way street, and essential to our continued growth. Managers set performance and commitment expectations for staff no higher than their own and expect reciprocal commitment and performance by all Renaissance staff. Commitment at all levels of the organization contributes to the overall success of the organization and a constructive sense of personal and corporate purpose and achievement.
- Knowledge - as experts in our domain, we value and support personal and professional growth. Employees are expected to reach beyond their individual positions and spheres of expertise in efforts to understand and appreciate the integral information vital to both our corporate and their individual success. They are trained to continually seek knowledge and understanding of the needs and desires of our agents and brokers and their clients. Soliciting, sharing and assimilating this information is vital to ensuring the organization achieves its objectives and carries out its mission.
- Creativity - thinking "out of the box" and a philosophy of continual improvement are encouraged and nurtured. Creativity and inventiveness require exceptional minds and imagination to create a vision of what might be. Courage is necessary to embark upon uncharted territories and perseverance is often required to overcome unforeseen obstacles and challenges along the way to innovation. All employees are encouraged to set their sites high, reach beyond their capabilities, challenge the norm and energetically participate in moving the organization forward.
