Personal Lines Placer/Underwriter

SUMMARY

Provide marketing and placing services for high-valued and specialty market risks and serves as a virtual member of RAIS training and help desk teams in providing personal lines assistance and services to Renaissance Alliance member agencies and staff (knowledge, etc. should be included in competencies section).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

 Reviews all submissions for completeness and compatibility with available markets
 Selects appropriate potential markets based upon carriers’ underwriting guidelines and carrier appetites.
 Identifies and obtains all additional underwriting information to satisfy carrier submission requirements and secure quotes in within established quotation target dates
 Effectively negotiate premiums, analyzes risks, communicates and collaborates with RAIS agents and carrier underwriters to provide all information required to produce timely and competitive proposals
 Receives orders, binds coverage, and expeditiously orders policies, to insure all binding and policy issuance requirements are met within acceptable time frames.
 Routinely maintains customer and submission tracking electronic data files to insure their accuracy and reliability at all times

Responsibilities/Goals

Provide agent’s producers with a competitive edge in the marketplace by providing product, and industry expertise and support within the established target dates.

Follow-up with agents to obtain information needed to ensure the proper placement of coverage in the time frame available.

Deliver the best possible pricing and coverage for each submission in the most appropriate market and timeframe.

Establish relationships with agent contacts to promote confidence in RAIS marketing strategy, and reinforce our commitment to excellence in customer service.

Work with team members to mentor, coach and promote aggressive but appropriate marketing tactics.

Produce daily and weekly status reports to efficiently work with each underwriter to meet target dates consistently.

Workers Compensation Underwriting Assistant

SUMMARY: The role of the Workers Compensation Underwriting Assistant for the Renaissance Insurance Agency is to manage an assigned broker’s book of business according to the specific procedures and guidelines outlined by the Renaissance Group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Review renewal policies to evaluate loss experience, changes in operations, payment, and loss control history.

• Rate and offer renewal proposals to brokers on a timely basis, and follow up to secure policy issuance in compliance with agency service standards.

• Review policy data entry for rating and billing accuracy, and issue policy for new business.

• Analyze Audit Worksheets received by outside auditor. Collect appropriate information to evaluate and analyze the accuracy of the audit. Process split modification and cancellation audits in a timely fashion.

• Maintain accurate policy information for each assigned client by keeping policy data up to date with regard to requested changes to the policy, experience modifications, and amending exposures as needed.

• Identify forms and endorsements such as waivers of subrogation used in policy construction.

• Conduct account inquiries in various management systems.

• Respond to service and information requests from internal and external customers in timely fashion.

• Maintain service standards by timely response to broker requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, or at least two years related experience and training in the Insurance Industry.

Proven proficiency in software applications such as Windows98 or higher, Microsoft Word required.
AMS360, AFW, Phoenix, Excel preferred.

Director, Financial and Accounting Services

SUMMARY:

Provides leadership and direction to the designated members of RIG’s Financial and Accounting Services Team in the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounting and customer services

Directs and participates in the development, analysis and interpretation of financial data in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, financial performance, and budgeting to achieve fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the Company. Responsible for the company’s overall accounting policy and financial reporting performance including the monthly and yearly financial close, cash management including banking relationships, establishing and monitoring internal financial controls, and managing the internal and external audit processes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Mentors, leads and directs the Financial & Accounting Services Team in the delivery of exemplary Financial and Accounting customer service to RIG member agencies, brokers, Minuteman investors, and internal Teams.

• Develops and maintains documentation of accounting policy consistent with GAAP accounting for external at both the holding company (RIG) and all operating companies levels

• Maintains financial procedures and controls for fiscal operations to ensure appropriate controls, confidentiality, & security are in place at all times.

• Insures timely financial statement consolidation preparation and with professionally documented supporting schedules, reports, and analyses

• Presents monthly financial statements and related schedules and reports to RIG executives and appropriate outside stakeholders and parties

• Administers budgeting process including development, revisions, non-financial manager budget support and communications, and budget reporting.

• Maintains and continually improves a fiscal operations system that reflects and accommodates for organizational financial complexity. Responsible for the effective use of both internal and external technology in achieving improved accuracy and productivity of the Finance & Accounting Services Team.

• Performs and prepares financial analyses as needed and directed.

• Establishes and maintains management level banking, consulting, leasing, and key vendor, carrier, and customer financial services and accounting relationships.

• Supervises payroll processing staff to insure accurate and timely payroll processing, federal and state reporting and tax payments, and related tasks.

• Reviews monthly Minuteman financial results and correlates to Renaissance Insurance monthly results.

• Administers annual audit process by working closely with outside auditors to insure timely and most cost effective independent audits.

• Provides RIG specific accounting related support to internal RIG managers and the RAIS Training Team

• Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

SUMMARY

Supports designated Renaissance Alliance Account Coordinators and Carrier Representatives by performing organizational, quality control, and policy submission tasks to insure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of RAIS Marketing and Account Placement member services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (others may be assigned)

• Monitors and coordinates designated internal commercial lines marketing and account placement processes in close collaboration with assigned Renaissance Alliance Account Coordinators and Carrier Representatives.

• Assists designated team members in obtaining required commercial lines submission data. Collaborates with Account Coordinators and Carrier Representatives to ensure efficiencies in data collection and appropriate timely follow-up communications with RAIS member agency personnel to meet RAIS submission timeline target dates and accuracy standards.

• Rates and quotes designated submissions within required time frames. Reviews applications prior to rating to confirm adequate information is provided for preliminary “ballpark” and/or final rating as appropriate. Reviews rating for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery to Carrier Representatives/Account Coordinators.

• Monitors receipt of supplemental submissi9on documentation and updates agency data management systems as supplemental information is received. Provides both documented and verbal updates to Carrier Representatives and Account Coordinators, as appropriate, to ensure collaboration and efficiencies throughout the submission process.

• Produces and distributes timely and accurate submission management reports on a scheduled or upon request authorized basis to designated team members, RAIS management and RAIS member agencies as appropriate.

• Continually evaluate administrative submission processes and procedures and contributes suggestions for enhancements and/or adjustments to procedures to improve the delivery of commercial lines marketing and account placement services to RAIS member agencies.

• Provides backup support to other team members as required and consistently strives to improve knowledge and skills related to all commercial lines marketing and account placement processes and procedures.
