Summary:
Provides accounting and client services assistance and support in the basic areas of accounts receivable, billing, commission processing, and data entry by performing the following functions:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist in the process of daily cash receipt posting to the general ledger
• Reconcile, research, & request unbilled premiums
• Data entry of premium & related commissions
• Code and prepare documents for electronic imaging and scans them to appropriate imaging file
• Commission Statements
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Collaborates with staff to meet target dates and deadlines
• Creates and updates related policies and procedures as required
• Provides primary and secondary backup in various tasks for other accounting team members as required
• Assists with related special projects, as required

Education and/or Experience:
1-2 years of Insurance agency and company accounting experience. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or one-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, and individual would benefit from experience with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word Processing software.
