Network Administrator

SUMMARY

Provides computer network and desktop administrative services and support, as an integral member of the Renaissance Insurance Group (RIG) Network Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Manages the enterprise wide Active Directory – including user setups; maintenance; group policies.
- Manages and maintains assigned network servers and applications to ensure network uptime goals are met.
- Manages the Sonic Wall high availability firewalls, to ensure a secure network environment.
- Monitors and applies Operating System updates when needed, subject to peer review.
- Troubleshoots LAN and WAN to resolve network and application problems.
- Provides Inhouse User and Insurance Agency technical support.
- Travels to insurance agency locations to provide support onsite when needed.
- Documents all support calls in the help desk tracking system on a timely basis.
- Participates in network and technology planning exercises.
- Provides backup to network team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; at least three plus years related experience and training; current Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent combination of education and experience.
