R. Lawrence Moore, CPCU

Vice President, Underwriting

Larry Moore is responsible for managing the overall underwriting functions for Renaissance Insurance Agency. He joined Renaissance in 1996 after more than 25 years in underwriting, marketing and management positions with Travelers Insurance Company, Royal Insurance Company and Liner Insurance Agency. He has experience throughout New England in commercial insurance with an emphasis on workers' compensation.

While in Connecticut, Moore served 2 years as the Travelers representative on the NCCI workers' compensation classifications committee. He also developed, introduced and marketed programs for manufacturers and municipalities in CT.

In his capacity as manager for Royal Insurance in Boston, MA, he managed the company's workers' compensation programs. He helped to orchestrate Royal's return to the Massachusetts workers' compensation market place in 1992.

Larry also implemented one of the first alternative workers' compensation programs in Rhode Island, building the volume to more than $15 million.

A graduate of Boston College, Larry holds the professional designation of Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter.
