Michael Rosen manages the overall Information Technology (IT) services, fostering an innovative environment designed to develop and deploy state-of-the-art technologies. This includes developing, implementing, and managing local and wide area networks, computer systems, and applications necessary for a highly efficient computing environment for Renaissance Group and its affiliated companies and customers.
Mike first came to Renaissance Group as a consultant in 1999, and joined the firm’s management team on a full-time basis in 2000. Mike’s career spans more than 25 years experience in both insurance and technology disciplines. He began his career as an Underwriter with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, and migrated into technology disciplines while at Commercial Union (now One Beacon Insurance) in the early 1980s. He later worked at ISI Systems (now CGI) as an Insurance Systems Analyst and a Project Manager, servicing USF&G, CNA, General Accident, Allstate, Prudential, and other large insurers. In the 1990s, he held executive positions with American Direct Business Insurance Agency, Inc., a direct marketing insurance MGA that provided sales, underwriting, and claims management for BOP, Auto, and Workers Compensation products in 9 states.
Mike graduated from St. Lawrence University, earning a B.A. degree in Economics, and later went on to earn an MBA degree from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
