Spreading your ideas
Seth Godin is an entrepreneur, a best-selling author and a marketing guru. He was one of the early business bloggers when blogs were a new concept, and remains a consistent blogger today. He came to our attention recently because he is being inducted into the American Marketing Association's Marketing Hall of Fame this month. His blog has more than a million readers. He has 650,000+ followers on Twitter. He also has hundreds of videos, a podcast and other social channels - you can find them all here. If marketing your agency is important to you, it's worth listening to his ideas.
We recently revisited his first highly popular TED talk. He made the presentation well more than a decade ago and since that time, it has logged more than 7 million views at TED and on YouTube. It's entertaining, thought provoking, and although a few references and examples are dated, the overall concepts are amazingly relevant today. It's about how you need to get your ideas to spread. He says that people who can spread ideas, regardless of what those ideas are or what industry they are in, win.
